PHARMACY DEPARTMENT
Functions:
The Pharmacy Department is a specialized department that carry out the functions of management and advisory for hospital’s director on all pharmaceutical activities in the hospital in order to ensure the full and timely supply of quality drugs and chemicals; advisory and supervision the safe and reasonable of using medication, under the direct leadership of hospital’s director and responsible to the director for the operation of the department.
Tasks:
1. Building department’s working plan and bring it into operation, building internal regulations, professional rules and technical protocol of department and submit them to the hospital's leadership for approval.
2. Building plans for supplying medications and chemicals to ensure sufficient quantity and quality for healthcare needs to meet the requirements of diagnosis, management and other healthcare requirements (disease prevention, natural disasters and disasters).
3. Management and monitoring about buying and distributing the medication for healthcare needs and other unexpected needs upon request.
4. The head point for organizing and implementing activities of the Medication and Healthcare Council.
5. Storage and preservation of medication in accordance as the principle of "Good storage practices".
6. Chemisty bartending for sterilization in hospital.
7. Carry out clinical pharmaceutical affairs, information and advice on using medication, participate in side effect prevention; monitor and report information related to unwanted effects of drugs.
8. Manage and monitor the implementation of professional regulations on medication at departments in the hospital.
9. Scientific research and training; is the practical basis of universities, colleges and high schools in pharmacy.
10. Coordinate with the subclinical and clinical departments to monitor, check, evaluate and supervise the safe and reasonable of using medication, especially the use of antibiotics, and monitor the situation of antibiotic resistance in hospitals.
